Empty Me

So, apparently it’s a Jeremy Camp weekend here at Hey Look a Chicken. He’s awesome.

The live version of this video is here: Jeremy Camp – Empty Me (Live) The embedding has been disabled in Youtube, but I invite you to click on the link. It is hauntingly beautiful.

I want to want this. I need to want this.

Holy Fire burn away,
my desire for anything
that is not of you and is of me.
I want more of you and less of me.

Holy Fire burn away,
my desire for anything
that is not of you and is of me,
I want more of you and less of me, yeah.
Empty me,
Empty me, yeah,
Fill, won’t you fill me,
with you, with you, yeah.

Holy Fire, burn away,
my desire for anything
that is not of you and is of me.
I want more of you and less of me, yeah.
Empty me,
Empty me, yeah.
Fill, won’t you fill me, with you, with you, empty me now.

Well won’t you empty me, well won’t you empty me now.
I want more, I want more, I want more of you, Jesus.
I want more, I want more, oh.
Thank you, Jesus.
Thank you, Jesus, oh yeah,
Thank you, Jesus, yeah.
Holy Fire, Holy Fire, Holy Fire, Holy Fire.

    >Awesome, Katdish.

“I want more of you and less of me…”

    I pray this every day.

    >That was awesome. I’m a JC fan.

(Uh, I did kind of giggle at Billy’s comment though…like he was talking to you. Heh…heh…) (Ok, slap me now.)

    >It MUST have been Jeremy Camp Week. We did a song of his for church this week…Surrender. Can’t get it out of my head! How can every song he writes be so good AND he can totally rock out, too, and not seem wussy.

Okay, I may have finally figured out who I want my ashes cannoned towards! If, of course, Frank dies first…

Although, we have this Bible DVD trivia game that is hosted by JC and he’s really kind of awkward in that role and it cracks Frank and I up every time…

Did you know JC’s dad owns a Christian coffee house place in Indiana?

These random Jeremy Camp facts have been brought to you by: Beth, who refuses to clean her house this morning.
