I can’t define it. I just know when I see it.

Ron Burgundy. Just sayin’
Candy´s last [type] ..Functional Foodie Friday- Coconut-Cashew Quinoa
TV characters, Candy. Although I concur.
Dr Gregory House
tsholo´s last [type] ..God hates divorce
I don’t watch House, but from what I’ve seen Dr. House does have some angry swagger.
Michael Scott (The Office)
Christopher Chance (Human Target)
Michael Westen (Burn Notice)
Billy Coffey
Peter P´s last [type] ..Sacrifice – Blog Carnival
Okay, I’ve added Michael Weston, because he’s chock full of swagger. I’ve never seen Human Target, and Michael Scott? Would we call that swagger? Last time I checked, Billy Coffey was not a tv character, although plans for an action figure are in the works…
Christopher Chance from Human Target has it. Trust me.
Jason´s last [type] ..Day 53- My least favorite kind of pie
Okay, yeah. I’ve seen that show. It’s hard for me to see him in that role because I keep seeing him as that snooty lawyer on Boston Legal.
Seely Boothe & Peter Bishop. Yes thank you. LL Cool J also has it.
Amy Nabors´s last [type] ..Eucharisteo Art
LL Cool J? Oh, yes. Definite swagger.
Barney Stinson from How I Met Your Mother. Actually, Marshall can go on the list, too.
Jeff´s last [type] ..Soulprint- Discovering Your Divine Destiny
I think I’ve seen that show once. I’ll have to check it out again.
Shemar Moore from Criminal Minds – ‘Special Agent Derek Morgan’ . ‘Phwoar’, is the technical term for that in the UK. see also: swagger.
Kirsten´s last [type] ..Beach Blanket Bingo
Shemar Moore? Oh, dang. Have you ever seen Diary of a Mad, Black Woman? Yesh…swagger.
Neal Caffrey from White Collar
http://static.tvfanatic.com/images/gallery/neal-caffrey-promo-pic.jpg
G Callen from NCIS Los Angeles
http://www.seat42f.com/images/stories/tvshows/NCISLosAngeles/S0101/Callen-NCIS.jpg
Helen´s last [type] ..The Idea of Love- Sacrifice- and How it Relates to Lent
Now, see–I like Neal Caffrey, but he’s a little too clean cut to meet my definition of swagger. Although, I do see your point. I would agree that Callen has swagger.
Neal Caffrey’s more clean cut than shaun and gus?
Peter P´s last [type] ..Sacrifice – Blog Carnival
Maybe not Gus, but definitely Shawn.
Raylan Givens is my hero.
Billy Coffey´s last [type] ..Pujols- More than the Game
Okay. The other pic wouldn’t load. Check this out: http://www.askmen.com/celebs/men/entertainment_250/261_timothy_olyphant.html
Nathan Fillion on “Castle” !! Have you watched it?
Cassandra Frear´s last [type] ..Here and Back Again- A Southern Girl Comes Home
I’ve seen it once. I’ll have to watch it again to see if he fits the katdish swagger definition…
I thought of Castle…. but he’s a little…. metrosexual at times.
Peter P´s last [type] ..Sacrifice – Blog Carnival
Charles Ingalls. Yeah, I am old school. What’s wrong with a hardworking, Christian man in the swagger round-up?
For me there are two types of swaggering men. One swaggers cause he’s been kicked in the hind-quarters one too many times (most likely due to pompousness, arrogance, and the like. The other type swaggers cause he spent the day in a saddle. Hence my next selection.
John Wayne. Yes, yes, I have TV evidence. ( http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000078/filmoseries )
(ps, I don’t even know any of those characters listed in your post, except for mister Jack. He existed before I cut the TV umbilical line.)
What exactly is the Katdish def. of swagger, cause the dictionary definitions don’t paint a pretty picture.
A Simple Country Girl´s last [type] ..Five Words or Less
Swagger is sort of hard to define. A certain air of confidence and humility at the same time. I would definitely say Charles Ingalls had swagger.
Ah, I like the humility trait…
A Simple Country Girl´s last [type] ..Five Words or Less
OK…as a follow up to my comment above, you need to check out Human Target. Christopher Chance and Guerrero both have it.
http://www.freeonlineepisodes.net/category/human-target/
Jason´s last [type] ..Day 53- My least favorite kind of pie
I was gonna say Shemar Moore too. He’s yummy swagger with a spoon!
And Mike Rowe has swagger. His voice even has it on Deadliest Catch.
Oh, Mike Rowe has swagger in spades. But I’m talking TV characters here.
Maybe beyond the scope of what the list given, but…
John Wayne.
Cary Grant.
Mark Harmon.
Yes. I started out doing a general swagger category, but when you get into movies and everything else, that’s a pretty big list. I was going to put Jethro Gibbs on the list, and Ziva, too. If a woman can have swagger, she’s got it.
M-M-M-Mark Harmon. Score.
Candy´s last [type] ..Functional Foodie Friday- Coconut-Cashew Quinoa
Fist bump!
Sandra Heska King´s last [type] ..Textures of Text- Worth the Sacrifice
Oh dear. I don’t know any of these guys, but I’m definitely in the Charles Ingalls camp. Oh, oh–and Sully (Joe Lando) from Dr. Quinn.
Sandra Heska King´s last [type] ..Textures of Text- Worth the Sacrifice
YOU DON’T KNOW WHO JACK BAUER IS????
Eeek! I was going to ask Darlene for backup, but I see she knows Mister Jack.
I’m so ashamed.
Sandra Heska King´s last [type] ..Textures of Text- Worth the Sacrifice
For you, Sandy. The quintessential Jack Bauer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tp19qiash2U
Oh NO! He was going to hurt SANTA???
I guess I need to watch more TV.
Sandra Heska King´s last [type] ..Textures of Text- Worth the Sacrifice
I’m with Snady for the most part. But I DO know who Jack Bauer is.
Whew, not a total loser with you young ‘uns.
Love, Cnady
Candy´s last [type] ..Functional Foodie Friday- Coconut-Cashew Quinoa
Did Cnady just call me a loser?
Sandra Heska King´s last [type] ..Textures of Text- Worth the Sacrifice
I know who Jack B. is because Billy mentioned him some time ago and I watched part of a show to see what all the jazz was about (before we tossed the boob-tube).
Sandra and Candy, I reckon we are a self-declared loser team of three. And that’s okay by me. I bet Charles and Sully would think we are grande.
A Simple Country Girl´s last [type] ..Five Words or Less
If a comedy guy can have swagger, then I must nominate Gob Bluth.
http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_dCiHYY0bPdw/TJZaK6J3HrI/AAAAAAAAA3A/NHpFUOaeQIk/s1600/gob_bluth.jpg
Alise´s last [type] ..Whats Your Value
Oh, COME ON!!! Snort!
How about John Casey on ‘Chuck’?
Peter P´s last [type] ..Sacrifice – Blog Carnival
Okay, we’re playing pretty loosy-goosey with the definition of swagger.
LOL.
No, loosy-goosy would be saying Chuck himself has Swagger.
Sarah on the other hand…..
Peter P´s last [type] ..Extra Giveaway Entries for Facebook Users
Jimmy Swagger…oh wait – never mind, this is for girls anyway huh?. sorry.
Doug Spurling´s last [type] ..Whirlwind
No. I think men can recognize swagger. With the possible exception of Tony.
If dorky swagger counts, I nominate Liz Lemon from 30 Rock. Mostly because I have a super duper crush on Tina Fey. I love confident, dorky women.
Tony Alicea´s last [type] ..Is Your Dream An Idol
If you’re going to say Liz Lemmon, then what about Phil Dunphy from Modern Family?
Peter P´s last [type] ..Sacrifice – Blog Carnival
No. That doesn’t count at all. I reject your entry.
Would you die if you knew that I don’t know about even one of those swaggerers? Never seen them swagger. Culturally illiterate. I do like to see swaggerers from the back side, though.
The shoulders, of course.
Kathleen´s last [type] ..Time for Tom Waits
Yes. Exceptional shoulders.
Dwight K. Schrute–unwarranted swagger
seekingpastor´s last [type] ..Mercy and a Nissan Quest
Unwarranted swagger? Perfection.
I can’t believe I just spent five minutes of my life reading these comments. That’s five minutes I KNOW I will never get back again.
I can’t believe some of these choices, either. Might as well say Yogi Bear.
How about Yogi Bear?
Cassandra Frear´s last [type] ..Here and Back Again- A Southern Girl Comes Home
No. Not Yogi Bear. But I think Hong Kong Phooey might merit cartoon swagger.
I thought it was spelled “Fuey”
Helen´s last [type] ..The Idea of Love- Sacrifice- and How it Relates to Lent
Don’t forget James Spader (Alan Shore) on Boston Legal.
William Shatner a close second.
Hazel Moon´s last [type] ..Pocket Full of Kisses
I love you, Hazel. Welcome to the exclusive club. James Spader swags, sans humility, however.
Candy´s last [type] ..Functional Foodie Friday- Coconut-Cashew Quinoa
Dexter.
If they weren’t all TV characters, I’d say that you missed me and my angry swagger
Your poor husband has to compete with these guys. Actually, all of us have to compete with them. *Bad words*
jake´s last [type] ..Livestock
Just so you know, Jake–If I did a blogger swagger post, you would definitely be my choice for angry swagger.
I remember us tweeting about Timothy Olyphant and swagger the other day. I absolutely agree on Shemar Moore…holy goodness gracious is he sexy.
And yes it’s not easily definable – but you definitely know it when you see it!!
Is it just a coincidence, or is “easy on the eyes” a requirement for swagger?
Either way, I want to add Jim from The Office. I am not ashamed of my dorky little crush. Not ashamed at all.
