I applaud you for standing up and speaking your mind. From what little I know about you, I’m not surprised… That is a compliment by the way. I was also uncomfortable with the dancing in the streets shouting “We’re number one”! chants from all the young people. First of all Proverbs popped into my head remembering how Solomon warned of the gloating or celebrating a victory over our enemies. Secondly, I remember the great things God granted Israel in the ways of military victories. The first thing they did was bow humbly before God giving thanks, then building a monument to honor God and for the following generations to learn and remember.
I am relieved as well, I’m thrilled to see the hand of God in administering justice during our lifetime. Mostly I desire for the world to know, in this country and around the world our God will not be mocked… Thanks for speaking with guts and sharing your heart, it is a good one…

By training (and inclincation), I’m a speechwriter. I watched the announcement, and found too much “I” in it, and not enough “we.” I think this has been the problem from the start.

It’s easy to sit behind the comfort of a desk and take the glory especially when it’s not his shoes getting dirty. But then BO is an ‘I’ kinda guy and the people who take out the cowards like Bin Ladin are not.

While I was saddened by his multiple allusions to himself during the speech, I at least admire his decision yesterday to not release pics of the body. His statement of “We don’t need to spike the ball” is eerily similar to my football celebration analogy in the comment section of this very blog, in the previous post. So I’m going to go out on a limb and speculate that the President reads Katdish’s blog. I’m honored to be plagiarized by a sitting president.
